There is a lot Alex can improve on, he dropped the ball in many ways. He is someone who talks a good game and can absolutely tell you what you would like to hear about how good he is in many areas, but when it is time to deliver, I'm sorry to say he fell short. But the main improvement he can make is not call the person who hired him a liar, especially when there is evidence(e-mails) on the contrary, which led him to change is story which also did not add up. If he was honest in the very beginning, everything could have been worked out, but since he was not, his dishonesty cost me over $100, many many creation hours and much stress for nothing and left the things lacking and missing on our special day. I understand the point behind Great Rate DJs, so i did not expect DJ perfection. But honesty with both me and himself is a character issue, and that is where DJ Alex failed me, and that led to many dominoes to fall on our wedding day.

I don't know how closely you pay attention to these reviews, but I did not want to waste my time listing out the specifics of the issues I had with DJ Alex, if they were not gonna be read. But if you would like to know feel free to call and I will verbally explain them to Mr. Klerk or whomever covers this portion. Not a request, just an offer.

RESPONSE FROM DJ ALEX:
Dj Alex never disrespected the customer calling him a liar,Dj Alex disagreed in customer's claims and Dj Alex presented an email as evidence to clarify customers concern.
"especially when there is evidence(e-mails) on the contrary"
The email that the guest presented was a copy of Mr. Pearson reminding to bring a projector,as stated in the contract,there was never a projector requested.
"which led him to change is story which also did not add up"
Dj Alex's clarification was always the same,never change the story and Dj Alex always spoke with contract on hand,the guest refused to revise it when presented at the event.
Here are some details to be added:
1)Customer claims they requested audio inside and outside:
At the beginning of the event,Mr. Pearson states to Dj Alex that the ceremony was going to be performed outside when the contract clearly specifies "event setting-inside" not both,otherwise dj would be ready on both locations,even though,Dj Alex still provided sound and wireless microphone under rainy conditions understanding it was a risk to be damaged by water at no extra charge.
2)Customer claims he requested a projector:
Before proceeding with the wedding party intro,the ring bearer approaches Dj Alex with a flash drive requesting where will the projector be set up.Dj Alex's response was simple,"I have no idea what are you asking about,I do not provide projection and it was never requested in the contract,he insisted it was and Dj Alex presented the emails and the contract to clarify his questions,he was later upset.
3)Customer was unhappy with wedding party list order:
Before the reception began,the ring bearer brought the wedding party list introduction, they wrote the wrong order,Dj Alex called the wedding intro as it was handed to him at the beginning of the event.Customer was later upset because it wasn't the correct order.
4)With over 9 years of experience on the dj business,Dj Alex understands what kind of music to play on each event and have them entertained,if customers would like an specific kind of music or genre they are always welcome to provide a custom playlist or feedback of what would they like to listen during the night. Mr.Pearson provided Dj Alex a music list,Dj Alex played it all and more.If guests didn't like the music,it's out of Dj's hands,he's just playing what he was instructed to play,they also had the option to come to the dj booth to comunicate their desired music or songs,they never approached Dj Alex,Dj Alex still had some guests dancing during the night.
4)Electronics can sometimes fail but Dj Alex always counts with a back up equipment:
Dj Alex also admits that during the night while mixing and getting the crowd dancing,1 hour and 20 minutes before the event came to qn end,the Dj's laptop rebooted and the music shut down for almost 5 minutes,thereafter,Dj Alex had a back up laptop and the event continued til the end.
Customer was later upset.
My overall opinion:
I can agree that there's always room for improvement for myself as a Dj and I can accept constructive critics for the better of future customers.I don't necessary agree with all points stated from Mr. Pearson since most of them have no foundation and I have presented clear evidence of those point of views so future potential clients can understand.I also would like to request to please include attachments along with this clarification so everyone can better understand the one situation in many satisfied customers that Dj Alex has performed in the past 9 years.
