ABOUT:
I'm all about the love of Music (New & Ol School Hip Hop/ R&B/ Classic & Modern House/ Latin), entertainment, getting the crowd pumped and am highly interested in any opportunity you'd like to offer. I currently hold a B.A. degree in Theatre Arts and Music Business and reside in the East Bay area. I also worked on projects involved in the Radio, Music, Theatre & Poetry industry and can offer other great services as well. Here is a bit of a background:
In the past, I have worked with Warner Bros Records as a Video Production Intern, had a radio show on 90.5FM KSJS as a personality and DJ for several years, and a radio segment on WILD 94.9FM called "Drunk Girls" on JV's Morning Show while being an promotions intern. With this, and other opportunities, I have established a great amount of business colleagues and friends in the Entertainment world emphasizing in Music, Theatre, Dance and Poetry from major cities.
The Venues I have frequently DJ'ed are as follows: Kimball's Carnival, Paradiso, Recess, Arsimonas, Club Six, Vynl Room, Matrix, Cantina, Stilla Cosmetics (San Jose) and Foxes Lounge. I currently mix with the Serato program.
Along with DJing, I have skills as an MC and Theatre Actress/Director/Operations Manager. I was the co-host of "Sexxy Sundays" - a poetry mixer erotic poetry- located in Oakland at Kimball's, a weekly host for EMP Entertainment at Arsimona's in Oakland, the host of San Jose's 2010 Juneteenth Festival, and other shows in the South Bay and Los Angeles Area. I have had many supporting roles in San Jose State Productions and recently won 2011 Best Actress in an Independent Comedy Film "Rent" hosted by Campus Movie Fest. Meanwhile, I continue to work on the Annual Theatre Awards in Los Angeles as an Operations Manager for the 3-day festival, stage manager for the 10-minute vignettes and acting coach with students from 6th - 12th grade. Lastly, I completed a year intense fellowship with The Berkeley Repertory Theatre as a Company/General manager and had the opportunity to work with such artists as Eddie Griffin on his current stand up comedy skit as a production assistant.
