Rick Walker has been a professional DJ since 2003.  My first private house parties were in the early 90’s for friends work clients.

My parents are prolific ballroom dancers and I have been exposed to all types dancing classics with a focus on the Latin ballroom dances (cha cha cha, rumba, mambo, salsa).

I’ve always loved rock and all the variations.  I learned a long time ago that a successful party requires keeping the ladies dancing and happy.  A good DJ stays current with all the new music and mixing in the crowd pleasers from years past, be it Disco, Funk, Old School, Rock, 80’s & 90’s.  Hip-Hop and Rap really lights up the floor and with special DJ mixes coming out of great pro audio sound system really get the room going!

In the high-tech corporate scene I have presented in all kinds of sales and training settings.  This was my training ground becoming a polished presenter.  The ability to speak to and in front of an audience is practiced skill that is critical to the success of a  DJ’s show.

More than having a lot of great music and the ability to mix, I have been able to capitalize on my technical background as sound engineer.  I used to help setup the stage for my brother’s band and run sound.

I have DJ’d all kinds of parties and events.  They are all fun to do.  Wedding’s are my specialty, because they are so special.  A good wedding DJ is very prepared with a well-written itinerary in place.  The nuts and bolts of a well-run wedding reception require that the program is progressive, on time, fun and entertaining.

Rick Walker was the DJ assigned to our party. I found him to be very professional and accomodating and he definitely knows his music and what it takes to achieve a great party! It was for my daughter's 18th birthday and we had about 60 people with 40 of them being teenagers, whom everybody knows are usually hard to please when it comes to music, but he had them up and dancing the entire evening and they had an absolutely blast!!!!! My daughter was emtremely pleased and her frends are still buzzing about it 3 days later. Thanks to Rick, all of my hard work and plans paid off! I would definitely hire him for future parties.
